Steve Feldman
Executive Vice President, Head of Football Division
As head of Paragon's NFL operations, Steve Feldman is a former sports law
professor who has distinguished himself in the past twenty years as one of the
savviest dealmakers in the sports industry. Prior to launching Paragon, he
headed sports management firm Steve Feldman & Associates, which was acquired by The Gersh Agency (TGA) in March 2006. Feldman
became senior vice president of TGA's new sports marketing & management division, where he focused on recruiting new clients, negotiating
player contracts and other opportunities.
Feldman brings to Paragon a score of current NFL players headlined by veteran
All-Pros Rodney Harrison and Corey Dillon from the Super Bowl Champion New
England Patriots, San Diego Chargers Pro Bowl fullback Lorenzo Neal. Prominent
on Feldman's roster are first round draft choices include Marcus Spears of the
Dallas Cowboys and Mike Patterson of the Philadelphia Eagles. Always looking
forward, Feldman also reps a young group of future ALL PROs that includes
Richard Marshall of the Carolina Panthers, James Sanders of the New England
Patriots and Daniel Bullocks of the Detroit Lions.
Having broken into the business in 1983 representing All-Pro defensive end Leroy
Selmon of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - making him the highest paid defensive
player in NFL history – Feldman achieved a similar milestone five years later, making Rickey Dixon of
the Cincinnati Bengals the NFL's highest paid defensive back. Among other stars
he has represented over the years are Hall of Fame offensive linemen Jackie
Slater (Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams), Super Bowl quarterback Doug Williams
(Washington Redskins), Andre Rison (Indianapolis Colts) and Junior Seau (San
Diego Chargers).
From 1985-86, Feldman was a sports law professor in the California State
University system. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology and sociology
from UC Irvine and his J.D. from Pepperdine University, gaining admission to
the California State Bar and the NFLPA in 1983. He is the proud father of sons
Jason and Jared, with whom he enjoys surfing trips to Costa Rica as often as he
can.
